The New York Convention provides for limited grounds for refusal to enforce foreign awards. Some US courts decisions have refused to enforce a foreign award using forum non conveniens doctrine, a ground for refusal not expressly mentioned in Article V of the Convention. This article reviews US decisions in this regard.
