The archived raw research results of Soia Mentschikoff's experiment on arbitral decisionmaking are analysed. This analysis could be of interest to the arbitration practitioners and those interested in how arbitrators arrive at their decisions. It questions the objectivity and possible bias of the arbitrators, highlighting the subjective factors that affected the arbitrators in their decision-making and decision-consensus processes during the experiment. Mentschikoff's methods for conducting the experiment are discussed to suggest the possible framework for future research projects. Moreover, other issues raised in the experiment are introduced, serving as a possible basis for further research undertakings.
