Abstract

This article discusses the legal difficulties facing parties who seek to arbitrate in Mainland China under the ICC Rules of Arbitration, in the light of uncertainties as to the recognition under Chinese law of ad hoc and foreign-administered arbitration and as to recognition and enforcement of awards made pursuant to such arbitrations.
