This article discusses current trends in the enforcement in the People’s Republic of China of international arbitral awards under the New York Convention, with a particular focus on difficulties arising from the application of the PRC Statute of Limitations, determining the origin of awards and burden of proof questions. Its aim is to provide users of international commercial arbitration with an accurate and realistic snapshot of the application of the Convention in the PRC.
