This article discusses the immunity (State and Crown) of Chinese state-owned enterprises and its implications for Hong Kong and for other countries in the particular context of the PRC’s Belt and Road Initiative and by reference to the decision of the High Court of Hong Kong on Crown immunity in TNB Fuel Services Sdn Bhd v China Coal National Coal Group Corporation.
