This article provides an overview of the rules for adopting noise restriction measures at a specific airport. In the first part, after having emphasized the importance of regulating aircraft noise emissions, this article examines the relevant international and European legal framework. In the second part, it focuses on a decision of the Brussels-Capital region concerning noise at Brussels-National airport. It will be suggested that this decision does not respect the legal framework dealt with in the first part.
