ABSTRACT: The globalization of the economy has encouraged the emergence of a transnational law of international commercial contracts. This transnational law, mainly a product of self-regulation by international businessmen, moves towards its unity and universality. In this paper we describe the legal theories on which relies the contribution of international commercial arbitrators in the phenomenon of self-regulation and unification of this emerging transnational contract law.
